I work in a 46,000 ft.² warehouse building and I am on my feet 8 hours a day and walks several miles daily in my warehouse. At the end of September 2019, I developed severe pain to my left foot and ankle that caused me to drag my foot and limp. I am a very active 76 years old and all of my employees told me that I was walking like a “really old man.” I ignored the condition thinking that it would just go away. My daughter, who exercises and works out all the time, is patient of Dr. Stewart’s and she had a similar condition that he successfully treated with bracing, splints, laser therapy, and custom orthotics. My daughter had a very rapid recovery and was very happy with her care. Seeing how bad I was walking, my daughter made me an appointment to see Dr. Stewart.
Dr. Stewart and I hit it off immediately. He has a great bedside manner and it made me feel comfortable. After evaluating me, he quickly determined that I had a bad case of tendinitis and plantar fasciitis. I have always had swelling in my legs and compression socks were recommended, but I never wanted to wear them. I listened to Dr. Stewart and finally decided to wear the compression socks he provided and I have to say that I am very glad that I did so as my swelling went down very quickly and my legs have never looked and felt better. Dr. Stewart treated me in a similar fashion to my daughter with compression socks, ankle bracing, a night splint, and with therapeutic laser. At my initial visit my pain was 8/10 in severity and within a matter of weeks with a combination of later and bracing, my pain was minimal and I was able to return to normal activity. I eventually transitioned into the recommended shoes and custom orthotics and I am now 100% pain-free.
Timonium Foot and Ankle Center is a wonderful office. The staff is extremely friendly, and the office runs very efficiently and is clean. I was always seen on time and in many cases I was seen early. Dr. Stewart is an excellent foot and ankle specialist and both my daughter and I recovered very quickly and we could not be happier.
