I had two surgeries by another doctor on my right foot to repair a bunion and hammertoe. It initially appeared the that the surgeries were successful, but overtime I started to have recurrence of my pain. Over a 6-month period, the pain worsened to the point where it became painful to walk.  I had to stop all physical activity to attempt to mitigate the discomfort, swelling, and pain in my foot.

After 6 months of pain that was not improving, I decided to get a second opinion. I researched highly regarded foot and ankle doctors with excellent reviews and patient results.  I came across Dr. Stewart’s practice, Timonium Foot and Ankle Center, and went in for a second opinion.  After an initial exam and x-ray of my foot, it was apparent to Dr. Stewart that my foot was complicated and required a comprehensive solution to alleviate my pain. Prior to visiting him, I had exhausted all conservative options and we agreed that a reconstruction of my forefoot and a calf release would be my best o ption. He thoroughly managed all my expectations and explained the various procedures and recovery time, so I knew exactly what to expect.

Dr. Stewart performed surgery in September 2019 with results that exceeded my expectations.  After the initial recovery, I am able walk without pain. I anticipate being able to return to my full physical activity within the next few months.

In addition to Dr. Stewart’s expert medical and surgical skills, his entire staff was helpful throughout the process from scheduling to medical billing to answering all my questions.

I highly recommend Dr. Stewart and Timonium Foot and Ankle Center for any foot and/or ankle conditions or concerns.
